Only for residential use – Homeowners or housing societies
System must be grid-connected (on-grid/net metered)
Roof ownership required or legal permission to install
Installation must be done by MNRE-empanelled vendors
Panels must be ALMM-approved (Approved List of Modules Manufacturers)
Apply only via National Portal – https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in
Documents needed: electricity bill, installation pics, invoice, net meter proof
Net Metering is mandatory for subsidy eligibility

Step-by-Step: How to Claim Your Solar Subsidy

Step 1: Consumer Registration

Go to: https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in
Select your State and DISCOM
Fill in your basic details and mobile number to sign up

Step 2: Application Submission

Upload your electricity bill and rooftop details
Select an MNRE-empaneled vendor (e.g., MYSUN)
Submit your application for feasibility check

Step 3: Feasibility Approval

DISCOM checks whether your location is solar-ready
Once approved, you can proceed to the next step

Step 4: Vendor Selection

Step 5: Work Start

Vendor starts the installation process as per MNRE standards

Step 6: Solar Installation Details

Provide detailed information for your solar installation
Vendor plans the setup as per MNRE guidelines

Step 7: Project Inspection

DISCOM conducts a site inspection
Net Meter is installed and checked for compliance

Step 8: Project Commissioning

DISCOM certifies your Solar Rooftop Installation as complete

Step 9: Subsidy Request

Upload the project completion documents.
Submit your subsidy claim.

Step 10: Subsidy Disbursal

After approval, the subsidy amount is transferred directly to your bank account
